Summary:
|
WHEREAS the Board of Education is required to annually appoint certain officers and required to designate individuals to various roles to coordinate and implement compliance with legal requirements;
WHEREAS the Board of Education is authorized to enter into professional services without advertising for bids or bidding therefor, for periods not to exceed 12 months; and
WHEREAS, upon recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board of Education finds that the individuals named below are suitable for the positions and roles for which they are hereby appointed;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education of the City of Newark hereby authorizes and approves the following appointments for the 2024-2025 school year, beginning July 1, 2024:
Medical Inspector: Samuel Caruth
Affirmative Action Officer: Yolanda Mendez
Affirmative Action Officer for Contracts: Sherelle Spriggs
Public Agency Compliance Officer: Valerie Wilson
Gender Equity (Title IX) Coordinator (Staff): Yolanda Mendez
Gender Equity (Title IX) Coordinator (Students): Rashon Dwight
Custodian of Records: Pamela Luke
