Summary:
|
WHEREAS, bids were electronically received on Thursday, March 28, 2024 after public advertisement for Wide Format Post Printers and Supplies. Request for bids were issued to fifteen (15) vendors with five (5) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4, the District shall award only by resolution of the Board of Education to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder after public advertisement for bids; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation to award a term contract is based on the total lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the contract is for a two (2) year period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026; and
WHEREAS, the solicitation for Wide Format Poster Printers included a pricing component for additional accessories, and this award of contract will include a $40,000 allowance for purchasing accessories; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Sherelle Spriggs, Director of Support Services.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Wide Format Poster Printers and Related Supplies for a two (2) year period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2026 as follows:
Comprosys doing business as Presentation Systems, Midland Park, NJ at a cost not to exceed $263,657.50
