WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:7A-10 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 6A:30, the Newark Public School District has undergone New Jersey Quality Single Accountability Continuum review and has been placed on the NJQSAC continuum with the following scores:
Fiscal Management 100%
Governance 100%
Operations 100%
Personnel 97%
Instruction and Program 79%
WHEREAS these results were reported at the Board of Education meeting on February 27, 2024;
WHEREAS a team established by the Superintendent has developed a district improvement plan for the area of Instruction and Program which satisfies all applicable requirements, and the Superintendent has presented that plan to the Board of Education for approval;

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the district improvement plan for the NJQSAC area of Instruction and Program is hereby approved; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent is authorized and directed to submit the proposed district improvement plan to the Department of Education;
