Summary:

Whereas, Amerigroup, a premier HealthCare company in New Jersey since 1996, has partnered with Shoes for Soles, a nonprofit organization created in 2016 focused on providing shoes for those in need; and
Whereas, Amerigroup, in partnership with Shoes for Soles, is sponsoring a shoe drive event to provide shoes and socks to 500 students in need living in the North Ward of Newark valued at approximately $12,500; and
Whereas, the donation is for the 2021-2022 school year.

Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved, the Newark Board of Education accepts the donation from Amerigroup in partnership with Shoes for Soles and intends to comply with the provisions in the donation letter.
