Summary:

WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education Office is committed to providing opportunities for extended arts and science integration learning experiences through virtual and/or live performances for students Whereas this month virtual trips included the Yogi Berra Museum, Newark Museum, Grammy Museum and Liberty Science Center; and WHEREAS, this activity will enrich the teaching of New Jersey Student Learning Standards both in and through the Arts; and teacher resource guides will be made available to schools in advance of performances and include activities aligned to arts and science and other content standards; and WHEREAS, students in grades PreK- 8th grade will participate in the virtual and/or in person experiences.

Now therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approve the virtual extended classroom experiences for $60,500.
