Summary: Whereas, the Newark Board of Education has committed itself to providing extended classroom experiences that extend and enrich the teaching of New Jersey Core Content Curriculum Standards; and teachers propose in-state and out-of-state Field Trips for this purpose, and
Funding : Whereas, the list of participating students and chaperones, faculty sponsor, proper bus transportation insurance, arrangements for lodging (if applicable) are included, cost of travel, and description of the trip including relatedness to content area, planning and follow-up (if applicable) are on file at the school and the Assistant Superintendent's Offices,
Recommendation to the Board: Whereas, the proposed in-state/ out-of-state field trips have been reviewed, and approved and recommended by the Program & Instruction Committee and recommend for approval by the full Board, Now, therefore it is hereby resolved, that the Newark Board of Education Board approved the student field trips in the amount of $63,124.28 as outlined on the attached list.

James-Frison seconded to approve the Original motion 'Whereas, the proposed in-state/ out-of-state field trips have been reviewed, and approved and recommended by the Program & Instruction Committee and recommend for approval by the full Board, Now, therefore it is hereby resolved, that the Newark Board of Education Board approved the student field trips in the amount of $63,124.28 as outlined on the attached list.'.
