The Newark Board of Education is committed to the continuing improvement of the educational program of the district and teachers and central office personnel have authored two novel units for grade 8: Make Lemonade and Animal Farm. These units of study guide are aligned to the New Jersey English Language Art Student Learning Standards, contain unit overview, daily lesson plans, and assessments.
