Summary:
|
WHEREAS, proposals were electronically received on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 after public advertisement for Digital Mathematics Platform for Dynamic Visualizations. Request for proposals were issued to nine (9) vendors with six (6) vendors responding; and WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires high-quality instructional material and program providers who can support educators in the effective delivery of standards-based, mathematics curricular resources for (A) Digital Mathematics Platform for Dynamic Visualizations, and (B) Digital Mathematics Platform for Data Visualizations and Analysis; and WHEREAS, proposals were evaluated by staff members of the Newark Board of Education and the committee selected the finalists identified below as the best qualified vendors based on their response to the District’s request for proposal; and WHEREAS, the contract term is June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2027 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period; and WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contracts has been reviewed and approved by Amanda Grossi, Director of Mathematics.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contracts for Digital Mathematics Platform for Dynamic Visualizations for a two (2) year term commencing June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2027 with the option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period as follows: A. Amplify Education Inc., Brooklyn, NY at a cost not to exceed $540,000.00 B. DataClassroom Inc., Charlottesville, VA at a cost not to exceed $60,000.00 C. Tuva Labs Inc. New York, NY at a cost not to exceed $300,000.00 EXPLANATION: To meet the educational requirements of New Jersey and the District’s Education Plan.
