Summary:
|
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education - Office of Early Childhood submission of its 2022-23 Preschool Education Aid (PEA) One-Year Preschool Budget Plan for the next school year; and,
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education Office of Early Childhood submitted the Newark District PEA 2022-23 Operational Plan and Enrollment Planning Workbook to the Board in November 23, 2021, and
WHEREAS, the Preschool Operational Plan and Enrollment Planning Workbook in all proposed contracted Private Providers and Head Start Agencies approved enrollment for school year 2022-23, and
WHEREAS, the PEA One-Year Preschool Budget Plan includes the Provider Per Pupil Amounts and District Withheld Funds for all contracted programs based on the current program staffing as of March 1, 2022 funded through the Office of Early Childhood, and
WHEREAS, the Office of Early Childhood is required to submit to the board for approval its Newark 2022-23 District Enrollment and Planning Workbook to NJ Department of Education.

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education Members hereby approves the Newark District PEA 2022-23 District Budget Preschool Education Aid One-Year Preschool Budget Planning Workbook for the school year.
