Summary:
|
WHEREAS, bids were received on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, after public advertisement for Swimming Pool Repair and Maintenance, bids were issued to seven (7) vendors with one (1) vendor responding; and
WHEREAS, the original contract was awarded at the August 28, 2018 Board Meeting for a two (2) year period from date of award and contained an option to renew for two (2) successive one (1) year periods; and
WHEREAS, the first renewal option was approved at the June 23, 2020 Board Meeting; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to exercise its second and final option to renew. The contract shall be renewed for a one (1) year period commencing August 27, 2021 through August 26, 2022; and
WHEREAS, the vendor has agreed to renew for the second and final one (1) year renewal period under the same terms and conditions with no increase in the original contract price; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for renewal of term contract was reviewed by Lisa Abdul, Management Specialist and Vincent Hutcheson, Director of Project Control.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves second and final renewal of term contract for Swimming Pool Repair and Maintenance for a one (1) year period commencing August 27, 2021 through August 26, 2022 as follows:
Ray Palmer Associates, Dover, NJ at an amount not to exceed $150,000.00
EXPLANATION: To provide swimming pool repair and maintenance services. Subject to the availability of funds.
