Summary: Whereas, the study will employ a mixed methods design inclusive of interviews and surveys to develop a case for further analysis and comparison of the experiences shared by the Mentor Coordinators during the 2021-22SY. Twenty staff members (selected from: parent liaisons, school counselors, and social workers) will be invited to participate in the study. The qualitative data includes aspects of relationships fostered by in-person, remote, and/or blended mentoring sessions by analyzing the open-ended responses, observations/field notes, and artifacts from the mentoring pairs. The quantitative data consists of the impact relationship has on student outcomes: academic performance, attendance rate, retention, and social-emotional development.
