Summary:
|
WHEREAS, proposals were electronically received in accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-4.5 on Thursday, December 19, 2024 after public advertisement for Student Enrichment Services, Expanded Learning Services and Teacher Professional Development. Request for proposals were issued to forty-five (45) vendors with twenty-nine (29) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with N.J.S.A.18A:18A-2(y), the proposals submitted by Codecampus LLC and Te-Bass Music Inc. are rejected and deemed unresponsive as these vendors failed to submit a signed proposal; and
WHEREAS, the District desires a pool of qualified service providers to deliver high quality in school, out of school, and summer enrichment programs; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contracts has been reviewed and approved by Colleen Troiano, Career and Technical Education Supervisor and Sandra Marques, Director of Career and Technical Education. |

Recommendation to the Board

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for Student Enrichment Services, Expanded Learning Services and Teacher Professional Development for a two (2) year period commencing March 1, 2025 through February 28, 2027 with an option to renew for one (1) successive two (2) year period as follows:
A. Back 2 Life SMP LLC, Union, NJ at a cost not to exceed $165,000.00
B. Broadway Bound Center for Performance and Dance, Lyndhurst, NJ at a cost not to exceed $155,000.00
C. Eleven 11 Ventures LLC, East Orange, NJ at a cost not to exceed $100,000.00
D. Inclusive Wellness LLC doing business as The Fieldhouse, Northvale, NJ at a cost not to exceed $150,000.00
E. Lumi Story AI, Las Vegas, NV at a cost not to exceed $300,000.00
F. Maplewoodshop LLC, Maplewood, NJ at a cost not to exceed $160,000.00
G. North Central Texas Interink Inc., Irving, TX at a cost not to exceed $130,000.00
H. Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY at a cost not to exceed $200,000.00
