Summary:
|
WHEREAS, in response to the COVID-19 National Declaration of Emergency proposals were received electronically on Friday, July 30, 2021 after public advertisement for 2021 Facility Conditions Assessment Request for Proposal, proposals were issued to twenty-six (26) vendors with eight (8) vendors responding; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Board of Education desires to retain an Architectural/Engineering consulting firm to assist with the completion of a facility conditions assessment; and
WHEREAS, proposals were evaluated by staff members of the Newark Board of Education and the committee selected the finalist identified below as the best qualified vendor based on their response to the District’s request for proposal; and
WHEREAS, the contract shall be for a two (2) year period commencing with date of award; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation for award of term contract has been reviewed and approved by Christopher Caponegro, Facility Condition Assessment lead person, Lisa Abdul, Management Specialist and Carlos Edmundo, Director of Field Operations.

Recommendation to the Board:

NOW THERE BE IT RESOLVED that the Newark Board of Education accepts and approves the award of term contract for 2021 Facility Conditions Assessment for a two (2) year period commencing with date as follows:
CHA Consulting, Inc., Albany, NY at a cost not to exceed $1,500,000.00
EXPLANATION: The District desires an architectural/engineering consulting firm to assist with the completion of a facility conditions assessment. Subject to the availability of funds.
