13.5 Approval of Memorandum of Understanding between Rutgers University-Newark and NBOE to facilitate a Dual Enrollment program

Summary:
|
The MOU is being entered between Rutgers University-Newark and the NBOE for the spring of 2022 semester to facilitate a dual enrollment program to permit high achieving students in their junior or senior year to earn college credit from Rutgers University in courses from the School of Arts and Sciences-Newark and/or the School of Public Affairs and Administration. Whereas, the Dual Enrollment Program is established by RU-N and facilitated by the Newark City of Learning Collaborative. Whereas, RU-N desires to continue this program for the benefit of the students enrolled. NBOE will pay the tuition for each registered student at the rate of $258.96 per credit. The total amount of monies to be paid by NBOE under this agreement will not exceed $40,000. NBOE will purchase and provide students with required textbooks and any other required course materials. NBOE will provide transportation as needed for students and provide a district level liaison to coordinate with RU-N and NCLC.
