Summary:
|
Whereas Newark Public Schools has entered into a dual enrollment partnership with Essex County Community College; and
whereas the attached syllabi can be offered to students during the SY 2021-20222 and SY 2022-2023 now need to be added to Powerschool Course Catalogue and later to student transcripts; and
whereas these courses have each been reviewed by the Directors from the Office of Teaching and Learning to ensure the courses meet local and state requirements.
Additionally, the Assistant Superintendent for High Schools and the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning have reviewed and approved these courses:

BIO102- College BIO II

CSS101- College Success Seminar
ENG101- English Composition I
ENG102- College Composition II
ENG109- Effective Speech
ENG205- Western Civ Lit

Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Newark Board of Education approves the syllabi and the respective courses to be offered at Newark Public Schools and Essex County Community College during SY 21-22 and SY 22-23.
